This is a video on how to use Comic Life. One of the key factors in the success of implementing technology in the classroom has been that we have provided templates as scaffolds. The first time we used Comic Life we provided a half completed template. This meant the students could focus on the content and at the same time familiarise themselves with the program and have fun playing with some of the features.

The production of the video really demonstrated the challenges involved in testing new technology with the kids and recording the process at the same time. The video on this is pretty dodgy because I was really focused on the lesson itself. It also really made me think if I learn something new this year it will be a bit more about the technical side of filming. It’s such a shame that the footage doesn’t really match my expectations of the video. When filming in class you get such limited time and so few chances it’s worth slowing down and making sure your getting it right.
